Instead of spending Valentine’s Day with your loved ones, you may stay at home, hold a viewing party, or, even better, binge-watch shows on OTT platforms on your lonesome. Netflix, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and others are releasing new series and movies to keep things exciting.
Here are some upcoming Indian web series to look out for in 2022!
1. The Great Indian Murder
Our famous Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi are all set to star in Tigmanshu Dhuila’s upcoming Indian web series The Great Indian Murder. Richa and Partik were involved in the playboy son of a politician, Vicky Rai, and the father (Ashutosh Rana) demanded a CBI investigation.
Moreover, this next Hindi web series will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on February 4, 2022. Also, it is a complete package of crime, suspense, and murder mystery.
2. Rocket Boys
Rocket Boys is a tribute to Vikram Sarabhai and Homi J. Bhabha, two of India’s best thinkers. Also, this web series is directed by Abhay Pannu. Additionally, it stars Ishwak Singh and Jim Sarbh in the title characters.
Moreover, the plot centres around how the two main characters, who bond through science despite having opposing goals, succeed in establishing the Indian Space Program.
3. Inventing Anna
Inventing Anna is based on Jessica Pressler’s article, How Anna Delvey Fooled New York’s Party People.
This web series, created and produced by Shonda Rhimes, is about the investigation of Anna Delvey’s case, in which she stole the hearts and money of New York’s elites. Moreover, Julia Garner plays Anna, the title character. Also, it will premiere on Netflix on February 11th, 2022.
4. Jamtara Season 2
“Our calls have been answered,” Netflix said on social media channels, announcing that there will be a second season and that Jamtara will return for another season.
Jamatara, starring Amit Sial, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aksha Pardasny, and others, will very certainly return. Moreover, the second season of Jamatara was supposed to premiere in 2021, but owing to COVID-19, it did not happen.

5. Asur Season 2
It is one of the most popular online series, with Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, and others appearing in the first season, which was launched in 2020. Also, this Indian web series will be based on popular Indian mythological ideas, with the tale centred on god and evil.
The show displays the tensions between precise and terrible. Moreover, its connection with human justice and inequality, and the first season finished with suspense. The release date for the same is unknown, but we anticipate it to arrive sooner rather than later.
