T20 World Cup 2021

Yesterday will go down as a historic win for the Pakistan Men’s cricket team. The Men In Green finally defeated India in a World Cup tournament. Additionally, the team won the game in some incredible fashion, winning the match by 10 wickets, chasing 152 runs in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2021.

It was an off-day for the Indian team, with no batsmen or bowler showing any significant performance. It was the opening game for both the teams at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. And the game did not turn as the Indians would have expected. Only Virat Kohli looked in some form, scoring yet another half-century. However, that did not prove enough to put Pakistan under any sort of pressure.

India came into this match, winning both their practice games in the T20 World Cup 2021. However, in no position did not look like winning the game. Some severe good spells from youngster Shaheen Shah Afridi saw Rohit Sharma getting out for a duck.

Additionally, Indian bowlers did not look to cause any harm to the Pakistan team’s batting line. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten on 68 runs and 79 runs, respectively. None of the Indian bowlers, including Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Ravindra Jadeja, could pose any threat to the Pakistani opening pair. They easily chased the target in the 18th over.

India will have a lot to introspect upon since the team did not only lose the match but failed to take a single wicket. However, we all know that India will remain a team to beat in the tournament, and they are likely to jump back from the following games.

The Indian cricket team will like to forget the game and move on to their next match. As per the ICC World Cup t20 schedule, India will now play its next game against New Zealand on 31st October. Additionally, the team has never won a game against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. Besides, Pakistan will play its next match against the Black Caps on 26th October 2021. They will be looking to continue their winning form and take another victory.
