Priyanka Chopra, Megan Rapinoe, and five other women have joined Victoria Secret as the brand undergoes a major transformation. The lingerie business is discarding its supermodels (dubbed “Angels”) in favour of a focus on female empowerment. Additionally, offering female sports, activists, and entrepreneurs a platform.

Victoria’s Secret, which had been chastised for objectifying women, ended its renowned fashion show in 2019, a globally televised event that saw women parade down the catwalk in barely-there lingerie replete with gems, feathers and lace.
Introducing Priyanka Chopra and the other new members, Victoria’s Secret posted on their Instagram page, “We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership platform, #TheVSCollective, designed to shape the future of Victoria’s Secret. These extraordinary partners, with their unique backgrounds, interests and passions will collaborate with us to create revolutionary product collections, compelling and inspiring content, new internal associate programs and rally support for causes vital to women.”
According to the New York Times, Priyanka Chopra and the other six women will model for the company, advise it, and promote it on social media. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has often been chastised for being overly sexualized. Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, and Alessandra Ambrosio are among the featuring supermodels.
