For OnePlus, 2020 was a landmark moment. The OnePlus 8 Pro was the company’s first “real” flagship smartphone, and it was quickly followed by the OnePlus Nord, the company’s first mid-ranger in five years. The OnePlus range was then extended to include a couple of budget-friendly products in the Nord lineup, as well as a foray into the TWS earbuds market. Moreover, this year, we expect the company to step it up a notch and make some much-needed changes to its wide range of products, beginning with the OnePlus 9 series, which will be launched soon 2021.
The series will be unveiling on March 23rd at 10:00 a.m. EDT, 14:00 p.m. GMT, and 19:30 p.m. IST, according to OnePlus. The launch event will be live-streamed on OnePlus’ website, which you can access by clicking here.
OnePlus is all set to release three new devices as part of the series, in comparison to previous years. The standard OnePlus, the flagship OnePlus 9 Pro, and a more affordable OnePlus 9 Lite/9E/9R. Although, plenty of leaks have confirmed the existence of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, information on the OnePlus 9 Lite has been scarce thus far.

OnePlus will also unveil its first smartwatch in the case, in addition to the three smartphones. The OnePlus Watch is being widely in talks.
According to the photos, it will have a new back panel design that is more in line with other phones we’ve seen in recent months. The unit has a new rectangular camera island in the top-right corner. Along with three sensors and an LED light, as seen in the attached picture.
On the front, the mobile has a flat panel with a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner for the selfie camera. It will also have a 6.55-inch monitor with a peak refresh rate of 120Hz, according to the leak. Moreover, images which are trending showcases real-time images of the new model.
The glossy back panel finish, Ultrashot branding on the camera module, and an odd logo in place of OnePlus branding are all noticeable in the live photos. The unit will also have a secondary noise-cancelling mic on the top edge. Additionally, a USB Type-C port at the bottom sandwiched between the speaker grille and SIM card slot, and the standard button configuration on the left and right sides, according to the live photos.
However, the prices are expected to be reasonable as earlier. The constant fans of OnePlus cannot wait for the series to unfold.
