Money Heist is coming back on Netflix!
Season 5 of Money Heist will premiere on Netflix in August 2020, after what seems like an eternity. Regrettably, they have announced that “the heist comes to an end,” implying that Season 5 will be the series’ final episode.
Alexa Pina said the following about the renewal in a statement posted to Netflix’s “See What’s Next” account (now renamed Netflix Queue):
“We’ve spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band. How to put the Professor on the ropess. How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters. The result is the fifth part of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”
Alex Pina and his team of writers and directors consistently states that a fifth instalment is in plan.
The upcoming season of Money Heist is now having a green light by Netflix since July of last year. The gang’s ongoing robbery at the Bank of Spain will come to an end with the 10-episode season.
Moreover, season 5 will be two episodes longer than previous seasons. It will have a total of ten episodes to wrap up the series, according to FormulaTV. The Netflix Media Center has also confirmed this.
