Mohammed Hafeez Bids Farewell To International Cricket

It’s a sad week for Pakistani Cricket fans as Mohammed Hafeez bids farewell to international cricket. He started his career 18 years ago and has said that he has no regrets and is satisfied with his career. During the press conference which was held in Lahore, he announced his decision. As many of you already know, he is an all-rounder. He was always called a “Professor”. Being an opening batsman he was also a decent off-spinner. He has been captain of the Pakistan Cricket team for all formats too.

Mohammed Hafeez’s Ilustrious Career

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja said that Mohammed Hafeez had a really strong work ethic. He had played all three formats of cricket and was doing quite well for himself and the team. Also, his game evolved as time passed and he eventually became a T20 specialist. His career started in the year 2004. And a decade later in 2014, he was also named number 1 all rounder in the year 2014. Babar Azam also wished him happy endeavors for his future journey. It is said that Hafeez will be still playing for the Pakistan Super League.

Hafeez said that he played for Pakistan for his pride to serve the country. He also said that there was no greed for money while playing for his country. He has no regrets of any kind in his career. Hafeez is completely satisfied with his career and said that he was physically fit to play in the next world cup as well. But it was his decision to bid farewell to international cricket. Hafeez said that he is not expecting any kind of farewell from the Pakistan Cricket Board.

All his fans loved the way he played in the T20s. He will be remembered for tackling the white ball. He also said that cricket gave him a lot of opportunities to explore other countries and their culture. This was indeed a learning experience for him too. He also thanked all his fans for their support and love which they showed him all through these years. Hafeez began his International career at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and said he is ending his career in this stadium itself.
