One of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year, Liger enters a controversy. The song Aafat by Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday is currently receiving a lot of backlash over the words used. Even though the song is titled “Crime Watch,” several people have highlighted the song’s rape phrases, including “Bhagwaan ke Liye Mujhe chod Do.” The casual use of rape language in the song didn’t sit well with the audience, who began making fun of it.
Users on social media began to criticize the lyrics, with one writing, “Liger song Aafat adopting a rape scene dialogue from ancient movies for.. aesthetics? Idk.”. Disgusting, but what else can you expect from a union between a misogynistic industry and a particularly misogynistic industry, a different person commented. Who in their right mind thought it would be cool to insert speech from a rape scene, a further user criticized wrote.

Vijay Deverakonda goes above and beyond to promote the film. Earlier, Ananya Pandey also traveled to Hyderabad and paid a visit to her co-star Vijay Deverakonda’s home. On Wednesday, the actress, who also got to know Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, posted photos from their encounter on Instagram. In the caption, the actress writes that a pooja for the movie Liger was hosted by Vijay Deverakonda’s mother.

The lead actors of Liger, directed by Om Jagannath Puri, are Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. He is a speech-impaired MMA fighter. Ramya Krishnan will play his mother, and Ananya Panday will play his love interest. Additionally, Mike Tyson has is gonna do a memorable cameo in the movie. Moreover, Ronit Roy will play the role of his coach.
Despite the directors’ attempts to cast Jhanvi Kapoor in Liger, she reportedly declined to act in the movie due to a lack of available dates. Then the movie started with Ananya’s section.
The film “Liger” will release in theatres on August 25. Therefore its creators and cast are busy promoting it. It will be interesting to watch how the movie does at the box office. Since, it’s received a positive reception on the trailer.
