KL Rahul Scores 2nd Fastest T20I Fifty For India

KL Rahul Scores 2nd Fastest T20I Fifty For India

It was a good day on the field for the Men In Blue when they beat Scotland by eight wickets. However, it was also a special day for the Indian opener KL Rahul, who scored the fastest fifty in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Additionally, it was the second-fastest fifty in the T20I history by an Indian, behind Yuvraj Singh’s 12-balls half-century in 2007.

KL Rahul has been in great form and also holds the record for the fastest fifty in IPL by an Indian. Chasing 86 runs, India quickly chased the target with a six from Surya Kumar Yadav. Additionally, the team chased the target in 6.3 overs, with some cracking batting from openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. Both the players looked like they had found their forms after a disappointing time against Pakistan and New Zealand.

Challenging Times For Indian Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma and The Entire Indian Team

Kl Rahul will like to continue this form in the last match against Namibia, who was defeated by New Zealand. India had a difficult run in their first two games, attracting criticism from fans and experts. However, in the last two matches, both bowlers and the batsmen have been phenomenal. Bowling first in yesterday’s match against Scotland, Indian bowlers were at the top of their game. Ravindra Jadeja was the star with the ball, picking three wickets.

Chasing 86 runs was not enough to challenge the Indian batsmen. Both the openers looked in great touch. KL Rahul’s 3 sixes and 6 boundaries made things very easy for the Indian Cricket team, and with this win, they have also improved their net run rate over the neighbouring nation, Afghanistan.

However, this win will not be enough to keep India in the hunt for a position in the semis as their hopes rest with Afghanistan. If Afghanistan beats New Zealand and India wins against Namibia with a good NRR, India may increase its chances of entering the semi-finals, or else this campaign will come to a disappointing end for the Indian team.
