Is Lil Nas X really pregnant?

In an over-the-top photograph published on Sept. 2, the musician wore a white flowing robe with a cream rose flower crown while cradling his “baby bump.”

He captioned photos from the shoot with the phrase “SURPRISE!” “I can’t believe I’m finally making this announcement. MONTERO, my little bundle of joy, is expected on September 17, 2021.”

He then included a modified image of his album cover superimposed onto an ultrasound photo for good measure. On Twitter, he taunted, “These contractions are killing me.”

Despite what the incredibly realistic maternity photo session he posted might suggest, Lil Nas X isn’t actually pregnant.

The rapper took the images to promote his upcoming album, which he refers to as ‘his baby’ and will be released later this month. The rapper released a pregnant pictorial, taking the phrase literally.

In addition, he’s wearing a white robe with a flower crown and a large baby bump in the images.

What’s the story?

The photoshoot takes place only days after Lil Nas X appeared to mock Drake’s cover art for his new album, Certified Lover Boy. Also, Drake shared a photo of the cover art for his album, which displays 12 pregnant women emojis with various hair and complexion tones.

However, he quickly responded with his own rendition, which featured 12 pregnant guys — a particularly poignant image given his recent “pregnancy” announcement.
