A new era of T20I for the Indian team will begin when India faces the mighty Black Caps in its own backyard. The 2021 World Cup was the last tournament for the Indian Men’s Cricket Team, with Virat Kohli as the captain in the T20Is. Additionally, it was also the final tournament for Ravi Shastri as the Indian coach. Indian legendary Batsman, the Wall of Indian Cricket team, Rahul Dravid is now the coach. This will be his first tournament as the same. India New Zealand series starts today.

India will like to forget its run in the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, even the New Zealand cricket team will look to move ahead after a disappointing loss in the finals of the World Cup in the UAE. Both the teams met each other in the World Cup group stage. The Black Caps comfortably defeating the Men in Blue.

The new duo, Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid, have said that their priority is to play fearless cricket. They will also instill courage. Their priority will take care of mental health. The first of the 3 T20Is of India New Zealand series will take place on Wednesday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. It is in the Pink City starting from 7 PM IST. Both teams will look to play their best. New Zealand would like to move forward from the painful blow in the finals. The Indian Men’s Team would like to instil some confidence after a disappointing run in the recently concluded tournament.

The India New Zealand Cricket schedule consists of 3 T20 Internationals followed by 2 test matches. The 2nd T20 will be happen on the 19th in Ranchi. The last will be in one of the country’s historic cities, Kolkata, on the 21st of November. Additionally, Virat Kohli will rest for the entire T20 series. He will be back on tour in the 2nd test match as the captain.

The new coach, Rahul Dravid, is not a new name to Indian cricket. Having earlier coached the Indian A team and the Indian U-19 team, Dravid comes to the Indian Men’s Cricket team having the experience of working with most of the current team players. Moreover, he is credited for the success of the youngsters. Additionally, he has said that his job is to observe players right now as a new coach.

Both teams have met each other before, and New Zealand has had the upper hand against the Indian cricket team in the T20Is. Rohit Sharma, the new captain with loads of experience in winning the IPL tournaments, will look forward to the series and like to start his captaincy era with a win.
