McLeod Ganj

It’s a small district of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. It is known as “Little Lhasa” and it also attracts a lot of tourists and pilgrims to the town. Here, you get to see the real lifestyle of Tibetan Buddhists and monks closely. The reason why this place is also called “Little Lhasa” is because the people have built this place in the image of their previous abode.

Coorg

Also called Scotland of India, Coorg is located in Karnataka. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of this misty land of hills and streams. Located along the Western Ghats, this is one of mind-blowing hill stations with a lot of activities to do like trekking and swimming in the water falls. Coorg is the perfect destination to escape for the weekend.

Phugtal Gompa

It’s a Buddhist Monastery located in the Himalayan region of Ladakh. The only Buddhist monastery which you can reach only by foot, the monastery is built  on the natural cave called gompa which was the shelter for monks for almost 2500 years. For all the trekking enthusiasts, this place is a travel delight.

Mawlynnong

Mawlynnong is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of the Meghalaya state in North East India. It’s the cleanest village in Asia. There are living root bridges. It is declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridges connect the aerial roots of one giant rubber tree and make a bridge hanging above the river. These bridges take years to self construct. It can accommodate fifty to seventy people at a time. It can even last for 500 years.

Ziro

Ziro is located in the mountain-scape of Arunachal Pradesh. It’s a wonderful holiday paradise for all the nature enthusiasts. Terraced rice fields, lush bamboo forests and picturesque trails lined with tall blue & green pines, makes it one of the most photogenic valleys across India. “ Ziro Music festival” which started in 2012 made this place even better for all the music and travel lovers.
