This is such a glorious moment for the entire country. After 21 years An Indian is being crowned Miss Universe Title. The first Indian to be crowned was Sushmitha Sen who won in the year 1994. Later Lara Dutta won the pageant 6 years later in 2000. Harnaaz was so anxious when she was holding the hands of her fellow contestant when the winner’s name was being announced. The final statement Harnaaz Sandhu made when she was asked what advice she would give young women about how to deal with pressures they face every day. Smartly she replied by saying that the pressure youth are facing is a lack of self-belief. They need to realize that their uniqueness is what makes them beautiful. One needs to be their Voice and needs to believe in themselves. She also said that is the reason why she is standing here today.

Journey of Harnaaz Sandhu

Harnaaz hails from Punjab and began her Pagent journey in 2017. She began her victory path by getting crowned as Times fresh face Miss Chandigarh in 2017. Later on, she also won Miss Max Emerging Star India in 2018. Harnaaz then participated in Miss India Punjab Pageant as well. She won Femina Miss India Punjab in the year 2019.
She didn’t succeed to win the spot for Miss India as she was short for 11 spots. Later on, she contested in Miss Diva 2021 emerged as the winner.

She went on to represent India in Miss Universe. As we all know that she is now 3rd Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe. One of her best statements in which she said in the Grand Finale of Miss Diva 2021. She said that she was a girl with Fragile Mental health and who was constantly body-shamed and bullied. Moreover, she legit emerged as a true Pheonix. Harnaaz Sandhu lived her words and she will truly leave a legacy behind her.
