Shah Rukh Khan is a name that needs no further explanation. After all, it’s more than simply a name; it’s also an emotion.
Shah Rukh Khan, who made his acting debut in 1992 with Deewana, has not only won millions of hearts, but he has also taught us how to love. SRK, popularly known as King Khan, has never been afraid to try new things in his performances. While his tenure in a negative role in films such as Baazigar and Darr wowed audiences, Shah Rukh Khan also established himself as the king of romance.
SRK has delivered us countless blockbuster films during his three-decade career. The superstar is recognised to excel in a variety of genres, including romance, comedy, family drama, romantic comedy, sports drama, and others.
On the occasion of his special day, we have listed a few movies that you can binge-watch on his special day!
1. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Karan Johar is the director of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a romantic comedy-drama. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol play key roles in the film. Salman Khan made a cameo appearance in the movie, and Rani Mukerji played a supporting role. The plot of the film revolves around a love triangle in which Anjali (Kajol) adores Rahul (SRK) and Rahul adores Tina (Rani Mukerji). The rest of the film revolves around how Rahul and Anjali come together and what happens to Tina.
2. My Name Is Khan
My Name Is Khan is another of Shahrukh Khan’s best films, which received critical praise and smashed numerous box office records. The film is directed by Karan Johar and stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, who are fans’ favourite onscreen couple. SRK is seen as a Muslim man, Rizwan Khan suffering from Asperger’s syndrome. 3. Kal Ho Na Ho
Kal Ho Naa Ho (also known as KHNH) is a romantic comedy-drama film written by Karan Johar and directed by Nikhil Advani. Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta star in the film. In India and around the world, KHNH was the highest-grossing film in 2003.
4. Veer Zaara
Shah Rukh Khan plays Veer, an Indian Air Force man who falls in love with Zara, a Pakistani girl (Preity Zinta). When Zaara’s bus is involved in an accident while on her way to India for a pilgrimage, Veer comes to her rescue. Zara is already betrothed to Raza Sharazi, but the two have lost their hearts to each other. Watch how they unfold their love story amidst the India-Pakistan conflict.
5. Chak De! India
Shah Rukh’s character was based in part on Negi, and the film’s wide distribution helped him find some closure. SRK has always been (and continues to be) hailed as the king of romance, but his stubble in the film caused a stir. His alpha-male position, in which he takes complete charge of the hockey team and leads them to success, is also something we haven’t seen before. What remained of the lover-boy superstar was an athlete who was given a second chance at atonement.
