France Turn Things Against Belgium In The Semifinal

The UEFA Nations League saw yet another delightful match when 2018 Fifa World Cup winners France football team was up against the star-studded Belgium team. After Spain defeated the 2020 Euro Champions Italy in the first semifinal of the UEFA Nations League, fans expected the second semifinal to be as exciting as a match. And they received just that.

Additionally, some of the biggest football stars were playing in the match for both teams. While Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe were in France’s line-up, the Belgium line-up had the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Romelo Lukaku. Weighing the same on the quality of players, France was able to get ahead of the Belgium team. And was able to defeat them by 3-2, after being behind by 2-0.

Theo Hernandez Is The Hero For France Football Team

Thanks to Yannick Carrasco and Romelu Lukaku, the Belgium team led by 2-0 until halftime. They looked like the favorites till the first half to win the match and reach the finals to play against Spain. However, the French team was not looking to give up soon and bounced back strongly.

The French star player Karim Benzema was phenomenal and carried the form he showed in the Real Madrid jersey. He opened the goal count for the team from France in the 62nd minute. This was followed by a penalty kick from Kylian Mbappe in the 69th minute.

When the match was looking to go into the extra time with both the teams scoring two goals each, the French team scored at the 90th minute to turn the game to their side. Theo Hernandez was the hero for France football team who scored the match-winning goal.
