On Tuesday, a teaser for the next streaming movie “Darlings” was released. The cast of Jasmeet K. Reen’s dark comedy includes Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew, and Vijay Maurya in prominent positions.
Alia will play the role of a producer in the movie.
The trailer for the movie features Alia’s character telling a fable in a voice-over as we get a glance at each character before the story thickens.
According to the movie’s official summary, “Darlings” examines the lives of a mother-daughter team attempting to find their way in Mumbai, seeking courage and love in unlikely situations while overcoming all odds.
The “Highway” actor can be heard having a “dark” talk with Vijay Verma and co-stars Shefali Shah in the teaser. Shefali Shah plays Alia’s mother in the movie, whereas Vijay will play the ‘RRR’ actor’s husband. Their conversations in the sneak-peak video shed light on their characters.
The actor from “Kalank” makes his production debut with “Darlings” in addition to acting. She will co-produce the movie with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment through her production firm, Eternal Sunshine Productions.
