Courteney Cox Reveals Feeling Dejected For Not Receiving An Emmy Nomination In Friends

Friends is, without a doubt, one of the most-watched and loved series of all times. The show finally had a reunion, which was a hit, and the fans loved it. People loved the original series so much that all the stars received an Emmy nomination, except Courteney Cox.
Yes, you heard it right.

In her recent talk on the Howard Stern show, Cox shared how she felt for being the only star who didn’t receive the nomination. Additionally, her co-actors, Lisa Kudrow and Jenniffer Aniston were also present with her. The trio talked about all of it, starting from their journey and their friendships. Besides, the three are good friends off screen as well.

Cox revealed that she was extremely happy for all of her co-stars. However, the feeling that she was the only one to not get a nomination did make her broken-hearted. She said,
“Sure. Yeah, it always hurt my feelings. When every single cast member was nominated for Emmy but me, it definitely hurt my feelings. I was happy for everybody, and then when it was finally like, ‘Oh, I’m the only one?’ It hurt.”

However, the actress from Friends did receive a Golden Globe nomination for the first season of her show Cougar Town.

She shared, “And then the only thing that made me feel good — because they’ve all won and they’ve gotten so many accolades — I got nominated for Cougar Town the first year — a Golden Globe. And I want to say, ‘Oh, who cares?’ It meant everything to me.”

Courtney did not shy away from saying how happy she felt for her co-stars. Besides, she also said that she hoped for them to win in their respective nominations. In addition, she was all praise for Jennifer and Lisa. She said that she will always remain in awe of their talent and enjoys their company.

Friends is a special show for a lot of people across the world. The reunion was long-awaited after the last episode aired in 2004. The telecast is indeed one of the most loved, and people love the friendship that the series shows.
