The government recently announced that it jas decided to postpone the CBSE Class 12 board exams. But the good new is, they are cancelling the Class 10 exams. The decision was very important as the number of coronavirus cases in India is rising rapidly day by day. This decision was taken in an official meeting of major post bearers.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank,’ Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretary, School and Higher Education Secretaries, and other top officials held a meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After the meeting, the Union Education Minister announced that the Class 12 Board Exams, which were scheduled to take place from May 4 to June 14, 2021, have been postponed. The situation will be discussed by the Board on June 1, 2021, and information will be shared then. Before the exams begin, a minimum of 15 days notice will be given to all students.
In his tweets, he also mentions that the Class 10 Board Exams, which were scheduled to take place from May 4 to June 14, 2021, are now cancelled.
The results of CBSE Board Exams for Class 10 will be prepared using objective criteria that the Board will create.
Any candidate who is not happy with the marks assigned to him or her on this basis can retake the exam as soon as the conditions allow.
During the meeting, the PM said that the government’s top priority must be the students’ well-being. He also announces that the Centre would look after their welfare while ensuring that their academic ambitions are not jeopardised.
However, many are not happy with the decision to not cancel the 12th Board Exams. The reason being, the chaos would have happened as to how the students will get admission to various colleges. Moreover, now there is enough time for the CBSE to plan out things properly for the Class 12 board exams.
