The two words “love storiyan” in Brahmastra’s new Kesariya song, which seems to disrupt the symphony, have drawn criticism, in addition, to praise for its melody. Director Ayan Mukerji has spoken out about it and firmly believes that the audience will come to love it, despite the fact that lead actor Ranbir Kapoor has responded to the jokes and memes.

When Ayan noticed that the biryani had “love storiyan,” she reacted by saying, “Yeh bahut chal raha hai kal se. We didn’t find it like elaichi, but like shakkar mein namak ka twist (This has been going on since yesterday.) Humne bahut pyaar se dala tha, intriguing sa twist daala—interesting sa twist laga tha. It was an interesting twist, like salt in a very sweet—that kind of taste—that we placed into the lyrics with a lot of affection. He continued, noting that he did not regard it as “elaichi” in the beginning, saying, “In time, people will begin to take pleasure in it even more. That’s how I feel.

Ranbir also defended the song in a press conference, saying, “Today, memes and trolls are all a part of life, and it’s fine as long as people love the song, Pritam’s music, and Arijit Singh’s singing. The goal is for them to like the chemistry between Alia and me.”
