Koffee with Karan has entertained us too long and too well. But amidst all the rumors about a brand new season airing, Karan Johar has announced on his Instagram that the show is wrapping up on TV. And will instead be streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
Mean comments were made, dumb statements were issued by Karan’s guests. And a ton of controversy played out on the show over the years. Celebrities usually try to maintain a picture-perfect image in the media. But unfortunately, the format of the show made it difficult for them. More than once, Karan’s guests blurted out things they couldn’t take back. And it made us look at them in a whole new light. On more than one occasion, we’ve questioned the sanity of a few celebrities. Here are 5 moments from past seasons of Koffee with Karan that gave us serious WTF vibes:

1. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul trash talking:
Who can forget Hardik Pandya giving us a full-blown demonstration of the fact that he had very limited education in life? From talking about sharing his first sexual encounter with his parents in the most cringeworthy way to making racist, sexist, comments and a significant amount of obscene opinions about women on the show, this deleted episode from Koffee with Karan Season 6 really shocked us, and made us question his sanity.
2. Sonam Kapoor’s several foot-in-the-mouth moments:
Sonam Kapoor has had her foot in her mouth every time she showed up on Koffee with Karan. And she was on there quite a few times, to be honest. Every time Sonam Kapoor turned up, she brought in her brand of zany energy to utter the most WTF things that made us seriously question her sanity. The best one so far has been ‘Well, the thing about the industry is that if you’re not good looking, they think you’re a good actor’.
3. Rakhi Sawant’s unfiltered admission of Plastic Surgery:
Who can forget the time when Rakhi Sawant was a guest on Koffee with Karan Season 2. She hilariously admitted to her doctors using botox on her lips as well as getting things done on her body with plastic surgery. While we are appreciative of her honesty, Karan’s line of questioning was awkward. And Rakhi’s response of ‘What God doesn’t give, your Doctor gives you’ was WTF at best.
4. Kangna’s defensive takedown of nepotism:
Kangna Ranaut was no doubt splendid on that one episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5 when she was promoting her movie ‘Rangoon‘ with Saif Ali Khan. However, her highly charged up and defensive takedown of Karan as the ‘Movie mafia’ and ‘Flagbearer of Nepotism’ was extremely uncomfortable to watch and a serious WTF moment on the show at that.
5. Salman Khan’s Virginity:
Possibly the most WTF moment to ever air on the show was on Koffee with Karan Season 4 when Salman Khan stupidly admitted to being a ‘virgin’. Honestly, we still don’t know if he was joking or testing our intelligence. Nuff said!
