10 Indian companies where women ruled the workplace in 2020

2020 saw companies transforming their office culture to make it more remote-work and people friendly, in general. But while the rest of the world was fighting a pandemic, women in workspaces were secretly getting empowered. It’s true though, without having to dodge everyday office friction, women had a safe space to work at home while their personal life was under their own watchful eye.

The new Covid work culture worked great for them and women everywhere had the chance to boss up and display impeccable leadership at work without nosy, judgemental pinpricks stepping in to steal their thunder. Covid work worked splendidly for women in top corporations and we couldn’t resist putting the spotlight on this ‘news of the year’.

The World Economic Forum was quick to recognize that women leaders of countries fared far better than their male counterparts in handling the pandemic. Honestly, we’re not surprised because when it comes to successfully tackling problems with mental strength, women remain unchallenged till date.

Great Place to Work, a global institute brings high performing workplaces to the limelight each year. In 2021, GPTW had its eye on the best workplaces in India where women not only excelled at work but bossed up and showed great leadership.

During the annual research in India, Great Place to Work assessed 852 organizations over the nation, to identify India’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women in the year 2020

These are India’s top 10 workplaces for women in the year 2020:

1. Intuit India

Located in the southern city of Bangalore, it is a fully owned branch of Intuit Inc. USA. A private software company,the Intuit office in India was opened in 2005 and currently has an employee count of over a thousand. Intuit takes the top spot on our list.

2. Marks & Spencer Reliance India Pvt. Ltd.

Next on the list, this well known British brand trends all over the world selling high-quality fashion, incredibly delicious food and homeware products. M&S opened its first store in India in 2001. Since then it has successfully opened more than 50 stores around different cities. In 2008, it formed a joint venture with Reliance Retail to form Marks and Spencer Reliance India.

3. PayPal India Pvt. Ltd.

PayPal is an American company which provides financial services through online transactions as an alternative to traditional methods of payment like checks and money orders. PayPal checked off all the criteria to make 2020 a great year for women leaders within their workplace.

4. Synchrony International Services Pvt. Ltd.

Synchrony is a non-government company incorporated in 2008. It is involved in Software publishing, consultancy and operating systems software, business & other applications software, computer games software for all platforms. Synchrony leads in promotional financing, providing a wide range of products to local merchants, retailers and more.

Great Place to work for women is a yearly study that does a fabulous job of recognizing women leadership every year, something the world always falls short of doing.
